When you were in your third or fourth grade you must have learned the Newtons’ Laws of Motion. There were three laws that were taught to us all. Little did we know at that time that these laws apply to all the bodies; not just a ball bearing or a football. It applies to living beings as well. Yes, today many psychologists and success trainers agree upon this fact that just like the three laws of motion apply to a ball bearing or a car or a basketball/football, these laws also apply to us human beings; not on our bodies only but on our minds as well.

In this blog, I will discuss this fascinating concept of how these laws apply to us and how they can make us successful.


There are three laws of motion described by Sir Isaac Newton, namely: The first Law of Motion (also known as the law of inertia or momentum), The Second Law of Motion (Force is directly proportional to acceleration), and the famous Third Law of Motion (The Law of Reaction). Let’s see how these laws apply to us.


The first law of motion is also known as the Law of Inertia. It states that, “ A body in motion tends to remain in motion and a body at rest tends to remain at rest, until and unless acted upon by an outside force.”

We all have observed this law while sitting in a car or in any vehicle. When a car suddenly stops, we tend to move forward because with the moving car our body was in motion but we didn’t realize it. We felt we were at rest but we were not. Now, how does it apply to us? When someone is moving towards his success and is achieving more and more, he/she tends to keep achieving more and more. On the contrary, when someone is not doing anything and is not achieving anything, he tends to be unsuccessful and remains stagnant. Therefore, just utilize this law and take advantage of this knowledge. Start working towards your success, start moving ahead, keep learning, and keep growing. You will notice that it will become easier and easier for you to achieve more and more because now your body is in momentum. Your body is now moving towards success, until it is acted upon by an outside force. Similarly, if you are sitting idol and not achieving anything, just start moving towards your goals and start learning little by little and you will catch momentum because the body in motion tends to remain in motion. Now start applying this law on yourself today and you will see astonishing results in your life.


The second law states that “the force is directly proportional to the acceleration”. It means, whatever you want to achieve, you will achieve; just put the force in that direction. If you want to be a doctor, put the force in that direction. If you want to be a scientist, then put the force in that direction and so forth. See how easy it is to become what you wanted to become?


The most famous of all these laws is the third law of motion. It states that “Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.” This law clearly states that every action has a consequence, so don’t underestimate any action. If you want more success then put more force and activity. Because the more activity and force the more the reaction. It simply means, if you want more results, do more. It is simple and common sense. Unfortunately, the common sense is not too common as they say. Trust me, if you want success, work harder and you definitely will get more results. If you are getting less results, increase the activity.


We all are surrounded by the natural laws and these laws don’t just apply on non-living beings, they apply to all of us. They apply to our mind and body too. If you want to be the greatest of your field, start learning today and get in motion, the first law of motion will ensure that you keep moving. Similarly, the second law of motion will help you decide in which direction you want to move forward. The second law will help you become whatever you want to be. Likewise, the third law will ensure the results, if you want more results, put more action and force and you will get more results. These laws are common sense but not many of us think about how they can help us. Now read this blog, and apply these laws on yourself and start growing and moving forward in your life and career.
