1. Purpose of This Policy
NeuralVista Neuroscience Lab operates as a hybrid neuroscience research lab. This policy clarifies expectations regarding physical lab visits, on-site activities, and eligibility for in-person access.
Our priority is to ensure:
- Academic integrity
- Regulatory compliance
- Transparency for all participants
2. Core Research Model
The lab’s primary research activities are currently conducted through:
- Secondary analysis of large-scale neuroscience datasets
- Computational, behavioral, and cognitive neuroscience methods
- Remote collaboration and virtual lab meetings
Physical presence is not required for participation, evaluation, authorship eligibility, or letters of recommendation.
3. Lab Visits (Current Phase)
Are lab visits mandatory?
No. All lab projects are designed to be completed remotely or virtually.
Are lab visits available?
At this time:
- Routine lab visits are not offered
- Walk-in visits are not permitted
- Hands-on equipment access is not part of current lab participation
Can students request a visit?
Requests may be considered only under the following conditions:
- The visit has a clear academic purpose
- Prior approval is granted by the Principal Investigator
- All compliance requirements are met
4. Equipment & Hands-On Experience
EEG and other human neuroscience tools:
- Require regulatory approvals
- Are planned for future research phases
- Are not currently part of standard lab participation
Students should not expect:
- Routine equipment use
- Guaranteed hands-on training
- On-site data collection opportunities
5. Evaluation & Credentials
Lab participation is evaluated based on:
- Research contribution
- Adherence to lab SOPs
- Analytical and scholarly output
Physical presence does not influence:
- Authorship decisions
- Certificates
- Letters of recommendation
